If you are second guessing this reel don’t. It really works and does everything they tell you it’s gonna do. Had a blast catching redfish from 6-40 lbs. on it. This reel is very dependable and smooth. I’ve even noticed increased distance in my casting.
Thanks,
Nick Lapre

I have been using the Sharkfin reels for my B.A.S.S weekend series tournaments.I can tell the difference already.I can make longer casts with the braided lines that I use.I can make the long casts that I need to get to the normally out of reach bass.I am glad that I have the Sharkfin reels in my arsenal.
Tight Lines.

As the Tournament Director of one of the hottest resdfish series on the Texas Gulf Coast, I am asked often about the type of reel that I recommend to tournament anglers and customers. My response is Sharkfin Reels! Sharkfin, with it’s patented design, casts quietly to enable tournament anglers to sneak up on the elusive redfish without a sound! The Sharkfin provides anglers with greater casting distance and fewer line tangles. The additional casting distance gained by using a Sharkfin reel is worth it’s weight in gold when wadefishing, and the tangle-free construction is the best on the market!!! As a Sharkfin Pro Team Member, I can honestly say that I only use the best…and Sharkfin is where it’s at! Give one a try…you will fall in love!

I recently bought a Sharkfin 4000 and my brother in Tulsa plans to do the same. Two other members of our team that fishes in northern Canada will also be considering a Sharkfin 4000 for those monster Pike we catch. I spooled my Sharkfin with some 30 lb braid I normally use, a liquid steel leader and a 5 inch Trick Fisch lure. I was very pleased with the performance. As soon as the liquid braid is available from Castalia, I’ll try it on the Sharkfin. I’m pumped about the opportunity to get one of those 45 inch plus toothy “alligator fish” on the line when our team invades Bolton Lake in August!!

Nice to see the Sharkfin reel mentioned in the ‘You Should be Selling’ section of the latest (10/09) issue of Fishing Tackle Retailer.

Came in Second out of more than a dozen in a casting accuracy contest. First time I cast the reel with your new Liquid line and the line was the wrong size for the reel model 20-pound test was all I could get. Still each target was hit at least 50-percent of the time leaving me in 2nd place by just one cast from another professional guide (I’m not) we were both awarded new rods and reels for 1st and 2nd. Great reel, great control and distance.

Capt. Van Hubbard, Merry Beth Ryan and I put a Sharkfin 2000 ‘through the mill’ this past week at Steinhatchee. Caught plenty of trout, but the casting range of the Sharkfin really paid off when we encountered several schools of over-slot reds in very shallow water. When you’re in a foot of water, it takes a long cast to reach these spooky fish, and Van was able to hook up on several big reds at long range.

Van Hubbard Says:
Got to try out the 2000 Sharkfin reel from ICAST recently. Caught several nice permit to five pounds and snook to twelve pounds. I am impressed with how well it casts. extra distance is a big help on calm days. It seems to cast about twenty percent farther than full spool reels. Thank you. Van Hubbard, Boca Grande, Fl.

I fish very little, however last weekend my husband talked me into going with him. He set up a rod and reel he wanted me “GIVE IT A TRY” being the spectic I am about fishing with him. He set up a “shark fin Reel”. I have trouble casting, So I thought. The line we used liquid casting braid along with the 2000 Shark Fin reel was fun to use, “no bird nests” (Thank God that’s my husbands words). I was able to fish and truly enjoyed the day fishing… I even set my own bait, How about that girls? Next time I’ll send some of our pictures. And lets Keep it touch.
Have fun, And keep our waters clean.

Captain Mike Ortego Says:
Either poling for monster redfish on the space coast of Florida or bonefish in the keys, long casts are a must when targeting spooky trophy fish in skinny waters.
Capt. Tommy Thompson Says:
Saw the Sharkfin yesterday at the ICAST fishing tackle show in Orlando, Fl. Can’t wait to try one, especially with some of the Liquid Casting Braid.

I HAVE USED THE SHARKFIN IN BOTH FRESH AND SALT WATER FISHING. THIS IS THE LIGHTEST CASTING REEL EVER. DURING MY SALTWATER SHORE FISHING I WAS ABLE TO CAST TWICE THE DISTANCE OF WHAT MY FRIENDS WERE ABLE TO CAST WITH LESS EFFORT AND HASSLE FROM TANGLES, RESULTING IN MORE TIME FISHING.
AND, ON MY FRESH WATER TRIPS I HAD PIN POINT CASTING WITH GREAT FEEL, A SPINNING REEL YOU WILL WANT TO TRY.

Castalia Outdoors Says:
There was a good turnout at the CCA tournament in Jensen Beach. Carl Wickstrom, Florida Sportsman Magazine won the Sharkfin 2000 reel.
I had a good time myself, using a Sharkfin 4000 to land a pretty nice snook. Picture attached. I don’t use the 4000 as much as the 2000 but I was sure glad I was using it when this one hit.
